Beginning in September 1988, Harvest Bible Chapel (
www.harvestbible.org
) met in a conference room with 18 followers of Jesus Christ who wanted a different kind of church in the Chicago area—a church where Christ would be worshiped in Spirit and in Truth. God led them to call 27-year old James MacDonald to be their pastor in Rolling Meadows, Illinois.
By God’s hand, Harvest Bible Chapel has grown into a healthy, functioning fellowship of over 10,000 individuals on four Chicago land campuses. Recently, Harvest Bible Fellowship (

) launched a church planting initiative that has led to growing churches throughout the United States, Canada, and even Nepal.
Harvest Bible Chapel North Phoenix met for the first time on October 2, 2005 with a Core Group of 25 people. In April, 2007, we became an official video extension campus of Harvest Bible Chapel in Chicago, following some transitional work the Lord was doing in the church. In March, 2008, through prayer and discussion, the combined leadership of Harvest Bible Chapel in Chicago and Harvest Bible Chapel North Phoenix determined it was the right time for the North Phoenix Campus to begin working toward becoming an official church plant under the leadership of Harvest Bible Fellowship. To that end, in April, 2008, Bill Borinstein was called to the position of Senior Pastor.
